CHEFA Awards $75,000 to United Community and Family Services (UCFS) to support new Griswold Health Center

A new United Community and Family Services (UCFS) Griswold Health Center will become a reality on July 16, 2018.   Residents of Griswold and surrounding communities will now have a state-of–the-art facility that will provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services.  Thanks to a $75,000 CHEFA Nonprofit Grant award made in May 2018, examination rooms will have much needed equipment to serve the patients.  The new building, located at 226 East Main Street in Griswold, was the site for an official grand opening on July 9th with local officials, funders, board members and staf

New Canaan YMCA Issue, Series A

Bond proceeds financed the refunding of a commercial construction loan which was used to finance improvements and expansion at the YMCA's campus.   Projects included renovations to an existing competition swimming pool; construction of a new aquatic center; construction of locker rooms, a patio, family activity center, offices, multi-purpose space and three fitness studios; renovations to the mind/body studio, gymnasium, fitness studios and offices; and an approximate 16,000 square foot expansion, increasing the total building square footage to 108,500 square feet. 

Ocean Community YMCA Issue, Series A-2

Bond proceeds financed renovations, improvements and equipment for the Mystic YMCA location.  The bond issue is made up of two sub-series.  The Series A-2 portion was structured as a variable rate issue with a 10-year tender and a 29-year final maturity.

Bond proceeds financed renovations, improvements and equipment for the Mystic YMCA location.  The bond issue is made up of two sub-series.  The Series A-1 portion was structured as a variable rate issue with a 10-year tender and a 30-year final maturity.

The Ocean Community YMCA consists of two Rhode Island branches located in Westerly and Wyoming, and one Connecticut branch located in Mystic.  Together, the branches serve southeastern Connecticut and South County, Rhode Island.

Greater Hartford YMCA Issue, Series D

The bonds were used to refund the YMCA's 2012 Series C issue and for the construction and equipping of a YMCA branch facility in Putnam, Connecticut.
