Thank you for your interest in the CHEFA grant programs.

Q: Where does the CHEFA grant money come from?

A: CHEFA grant funds are derived from the Authority reserves and surplus earnings.  No state funds are utilized.

Q. How often can my organization receive a CHEFA grant?

Complete 2008 Open Grant Applications must arrive at the Authority no later than 5:00 pm EST today for consideration. Late applications will not be accepted. No extensions will be given.

Reporting Requirements

All CHEFA grantees are required to file an Interim Report letter at the six month timeframe and a Final Project Report within 60 days of the end of their grant period.  A PDF version of the report appears as an attachment below.  Please contact us to receive the report form in WORD fill-in format.

Targeted Grant Program

The Targeted Grant Program was developed to meet a statewide need in one or more of CHEFA's four priority focus areas: Education, Healthcare, Childcare, and Cultural. The Targeted Grants typically are larger monetary grants in order to address the statewide reach of the project or program.

CHEFA reserves the right to invite Targeted Grant applications based on CHEFA Grant Committee direction.
